It has the dishwasher friendly symbol on it so I’ve used it in the dishwasher.
Ever since then, any food that goes into the bowl tastes like dishwasher cleaner.
I’ve tried soaking it in hot and cold water, ran it a number of times through the dishwasher without cleaner. All of this got it to a bare minimal dishwasher taste. Started handing washing it but even that makes it smell and taste like dishwashing fluid. The best way to describe it is heat makes the silicone porous to absorb the cleaners and then when hot food goes into it, it releases the chemicals into the food.
Even my wife agrees that you can taste and smell the cleaning products in the food that goes in it, even when it was a strong flavoured curry,
Strongly recommend if you buy this, water only clean.
On top of this I feel guilty my daughters have consumed food off this, yuck! and possibly poison! 🤢

These are great, the seal properly and don't leak and you don't have to put them in a stand so they don't take up lots of space in the freezer. Very happy.

I have so far used the mini poddy to make fruit and veg gummies for my little one. Turned out the cousins loved the cute gummies too. It was a little hard to get the gummies out as the molds are quite deep. It shouldn’t be an issue for anything baked or frozen. Otherwise great quality product and the lid really stays put in the fridge which is helpful to avoid spillage.
