Our easy garlic pizza recipe for kids: Time to get stamping!

We all know toddlers love a good pizza or two.

What if we told you there was a way to dish up your tiny human’s all-time favourite AND turn it into a team-building session for the whole family?

Yep, all you need for hours of fun and a happy toddler at the end of the day is a Stampies set. Make the dough, grab your toddler, pick your favourite animals and get stamping!

Every Stampies set comes with a stainless steel cookie cutter, 1 wooden stamper and 15 easily interchangeable food-grade silicone stamps that invite Sally Sloth, Ziggy Zebra and all their animal mates over for a fun pizza party.

This easy garlic pizza recipe for kids is super simple and a kids’ favourite here at We Might Be Tiny HQ.

(Handy tip: Hijack the dough recipe as the base for your toddler’s favourite pizza toppings. It’s foolproof and delicious!)

What you get after your kitchen session with your tiny human are bite-sized garlic pizza gems. They’re perfect for a fun afternoon tea snack or a guaranteed mealtime success when you’re over complaining toddlers and half-eaten culinary delights.

The only dilemma will be naming all your animal friends. We dare you. It’s not that easy (especially when a bossy toddler is involved!).

Make 4 mini pizza breads | Prep 90 minutes

Ingredients

  • 270 g (2 ½ cups) light spelt flour
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) warm water
  • ½ tbsp yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tbsp olive oil

Method

In a large bowl, combine yeast with water, olive oil and salt, and stir well to proof.

After 5 minutes, add half of the flour and mix well to combine.

Add remaining flour and mix well with your hands.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, adding additional flour as necessary to form a smooth and elastic dough. Dough should not be sticky.

Transfer dough to a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size. For best results leave for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 180 C.

Divide the dough mixture into four equal portions and roll into small flat circles about half a centimetre thick. Choose your favourite Stampie (we love the lion and cheetah) to add a totally roarsome animal to your dough then arrange each ‘pizza’ next to each other on a baking parchment-lined tray.

Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes or until slightly golden.

Allow to cool slightly before drizzling with olive oil or melted butter and minced garlic.
