Makes 10 rings

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 30 g (¼ cup) raw organic sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 50 g (half a bar) dark chocolate, melted

Method

Cut apples crosswise into 3 mm discs and remove core using a little cookie cutter of your choice.

In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Dip apple slices in sugar mixture to coat both sides.

Shake off excess then lay out on cooling rack for an hour to allow moisture to be released.

Preheat oven to 100 C. Place apple rings in oven, still on cooling rack, to dehydrate for 2 hours.

Allow to cool completely before coating with chocolate. Place dipped rings onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and leave to set in fridge for half an hour. Once set, serve in your favourite Snackie.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
