Makes 9 Freeze and Bake Poddies | Prep 20 minutes


  • 300 g sweet potato, peeled and cut into chunks equates to one half of a medium sweet potato
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 250 g (1 ½ cup) chickpeas, cooked equates to one tin of chickpeas
  • 30 g (⅓ cup) besan flour
  • 125 ml (¼ cup) olive oil
  • 1 handful parsley leaves
  • 1 handful coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander


Preheat oven to 200 C and grease Freeze and Bake Poddies with olive oil.

Place sweet potato and garlic in a food processor and pulse until you have rough crumbs. (Careful not to overprocess or you get mash)

Add remaining ingredients and pulse again

Scoop into poddies and bake for up to 40 minutes of until tops are golden

If tops aren’t golden simply place under grill for five minutes until crispy
