Kid-Friendly Party Cake

It’s time to let your kids shine and take over the kitchen!

Over at the WMBT HQ, we love having the little beasts help out. But there will be times when busy mums are in too much of a rush to let them in on the action. The idea behind this birthday cake is it’s so simple that you can have your kids participate, even when things get hectic.

This recipe has no flour, no eggs, and NO MESS left behind. Yes mums, kitchen disaster has been averted!

Let your little ones help identify and mash the fruits! They can also take turns throwing everything in the blender, pouring into the mould, and sprinkling on the toppings. Simply gather and measure all the ingredients beforehand to get things started off smoothly.

This Tropical Yoghurt Cake is sure to elevate any party table. Using the WMBT Bear Cake Mould gives your culinary treat a fun element that’s a feast for both the eyes and tiny tummies!

These cuties will surely bring big smiles to your guests' faces.

Have Your Cake & Eat It Too!

What’s great about this party food idea is that it doesn’t have any added sugar. All of the goodness comes from the natural sweetness of the fruit. Sure, there are tons of store-bought cakes that you can choose from. But those unhealthy options also use a lot of sugar and artificial flavours. Not so good for growing gremlins.

This Tropical Yoghurt Cake recipe, on the other hand, uses only a few ingredients and yet it's loaded with super nutrients all parents will approve of.

GREEK YOGHURT

This recipe uses greek yoghurt - more protein, less lactose, and contains a powerhouse of nutrients like calcium, potassium, and magnesium. It’s also thicker than regular yoghurt, making our cake super moist and delicious. You can, however, substitute with any unsweetened and unflavoured variety you prefer.

FRESH FRUIT

Our pick: ripe mangoes and mashed bananas!

Did you know that bananas are an energy food while mangoes are the most loved fruit around the world? These naturally-sweetened fruits are full of vitamin C, folic acid, fibre, and antioxidants.

Kids should eat fruit every day to improve their overall health and immunity. But getting them their daily dose can be challenging. That won’t be a problem with this Tropical Yoghurt Cake because it’s all mixed in and presented in bear form - fussy eaters will gobble this right up!

TURMERIC

Fun fact: this superfood has incredible healing benefits for your kids.

Here are just a few things to love about Turmeric:

  • Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-viral -great for kids with asthma!
  • Boosts immunity
  • Regulates metabolism and weight management
